Blog 5: Search the key word "phonics" or other related words in Youtube.

Reflecting:
I think the illustrations very funny; I think that many children also can learn English by this video. Children can use their image to figure those conditions in the story.

Week3:Blog 4-Reflect on what you learn from The two blog sites that Chung-Kai made.

Topic 8: ESL/EFL writing and Odiogo

My commons: It's a good tool for us to use. Odiogo is a very nice tool. In fact, in one of the self-editing techniques in (ESL) writing, some experts suggest that the writer read aloud his/her own texts. Odiogo is definitely a useful tool for carrying out this method. I think it is really a terrific tool to use to learn English. It can not merely train my listening ability but also reduce the time to read a lot of words.

Week2: Blog 3-What "Podcasting" is about?

A podcast is a series of digital media files (either audio or video) that are released episodically and downloaded through web syndication.
The mode of delivery differentiates podcasting from other means of accessing media files over the Internet, such as direct download, or streamed webcasting. A list of all the audio or video files currently associated with a given series is maintained centrally on the distributor's server as a web feed, and the listener or viewer employs special client application software known as a podcatcher that can access this web feed, check it for updates, and download any new files in the series. This process can be automated so that new files are downloaded automatically. Files are stored locally on the user's computer or other device ready for offline use, giving simple and convenient access to episodic content. Commonly used audio file formats are Ogg Vorbis and MP3.
Researchers at the Center for Journalism and Communication Research at the University of Texas at Austin in the USA are proposing a four-part definition of a podcast: A podcast is a digital audio or video file that is episodic; downloadable; programme-driven, mainly with a host and/or theme; and convenient, usually via an automated feed with computer software.

Blog 2: Assignment two: Reflecting on what Web 2.0 is

Web 2.0 websites allow users to do more than just retrieve information. Users can own the data on a Web 2.0 site and exercise control over that data. Web 2.0 websites typically include some of the following features and techniques.

1. Search: Finding information through keyword search.
Links: Connects information together into a meaningful information ecosystem using the model of the Web, and provides low-barrier social tools.
2. Authoring: The ability to create and update content leads to the collaborative work of many rather than just a few web authors. In wikis, users may extend, undo and redo each other's work. In blogs, posts and the comments of individuals build up over time.
3. Tags: Categorization of content by users adding "tags" - short, usually one-word descriptions = to facilitate searching, without dependence on pre-made categories. Collections of tags created by many users within a single system may be referred to as "folksonomies" (i.e., folk taxonomies).
4. Extensions: Software that makes the Web an application platform as well as a document server.
5. Signals: The use of syndication technology such as RSS to notify users of content changes.
